Project Innovation Contest (PIC) a sister concern activity of ICDCIT launched in the year 2012. It has been significantly contributing for the betterment of the society, since its genesis, by providing a stepping stone for the young innovative minds. The sole objective of PIC is to motivate the student community to develop inventive projects that shall ameliorate the human lifestyle and society at large.
14th PIC-2025 which will be held in conjunction with the 21st ICDCIT during January 2025 invites project contributions from students of any stream of B.E / B.Tech/BCA/BSc(Comp. Science)/MBA/ MTech/ MCA/ MSc/ BBA/MBBS and Diploma to demonstrate their technical proficiency and creative problem-solving abilities with the aid of Computer Science and Information Technology.
PIC platform is open to the students of B.E, B. Tech, MCA, BCA, BSc (CS&IT) and MSc(CS&IT) to showcase their technical skills and innovative thinking in solving real life problems.

- Ecosystem maintenance

- Automatic Speech Recognition(ASR) based Project

- Biomedical / Bioinformatics Projects
- Internet of Things
- Embedded systems projects
- Micro-controller projects
- Robotics projects
The submitted projects will pass through the blind peer review process. The selected project groups will be invited to showcase their work with demonstrated models and presentation during the conference. The best 3 projects will be awarded attractive prizes. Further, all the selected projects’ work will be published in a proceeding/book form with an ISBN (approval under progress).
Prize money
Eligibility:
- A team must comprise of not more than 3 members (2 students + 1 advisor/mentor/guide).
- Students can be from any stream of B.E / B.Tech /MTech / MCA /MSc/ MBA/ BCA/ BBA/MBA/MBBS/ BSc(Comp. Science) and Diploma.
- Each team must have an advisor/mentor/guide.
- Members of a team must be affiliated with the same educational institute.
- The project has to be recommended by the head of the Institute/Department.
Submission:
- Soft copy of the project template, must be submitted through this Link only.
- Only selected projects will be called for the presentation and that will be intimated through their provided email id.
- Contestants need to meet all of the following requirements at the time of the final contest presentation:
- Be enrolled as a student at an accredited educational institution.
- Not be involved in any part of the administration of the contest.
- Not already enrolled in another team with a different project.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Each project will be evaluated by a minimum of two reviewers.
- The evaluation will be mainly based on the following key points:
- Innovation
- Societal contribution
- Technology Adopted
- Cost Incurred
- Commercial Implications.
- Compliance to any two of the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)
Facility:
Hostel accommodation will be provided to the participants of the selected project for the presentation(3 members only).
To-and-fro fare (only Sleeper Class) will be provided to outside participants.
